The private shipyard "Sails of Ukraine" is comparatively new. It was set up about 5 years ago by group of enthusiasts-yachtsmen, each of whom had previously built a personal yacht with his own hands. Life experience and high qualification allowed to master Holland wooden integral technology Van de Stadt Design. This allowed to build ecologically clean hulls, which are two or three times cheaper than hulls of aluminium alloy are, and lighter than steel hulls are. Special impregnation of wood allowed to compete with metal stuff in durability.
    The main production of the ship-yard is cruising sailing-motor yachts from 12 till 16 meters long and more and cruising catamarans from 11 till 20 meters long. For building yachts and catamarans we use foreign certificate projects, which are masterpieces of world yachting. All vessels are built in accordance with the rules of Register of Ukraine.
    A customer, showing a sketch or a photo of a vessel, can order any project of a vessel of 20 - 25 meter long maximum, of any technical characteristics, which answer this technology. Cost of the project consists of two costs:
    1. Cost of a hull.
    2. Cost of manufactures and equipment, which have to be purchased.
    The cost of the hull is a constant number. The cost of manufactures and equipment can vary.
    For example, the price of an engines:
    Volvo Penta 90 hp…….$16,000 USD
    Sole Diesel 90 hp……….$8,500 USD
    Toyota 90 hp……………$4,500 USD
    It is possible to order a longboat for carriage of people, a houseboat, a boat for fishing or a rowing-boat. Each order can be discussed individually.
    Transportation cost and customs fee amount 0.1% from the amount of the contract, plus $300 - $500 USD for customs service.
    Registration in Ukrainian Register and re-execution cost from $200 till $400 USD.
    In order to contact our firm a customer sends a letter. After arrangement the customer comes and contracts. A mode of payment can be chosen. Clearing settlement can be fulfilled through a bank, requisites of which are indicated in the contract. Step by step financing construction is possible.
    By regular mail a customer can receive estimate, which can be corrected or changed by the customer (for example, charter, lux etc.)
    At present also we invite investors, who are interested in this business.
